“Man has lost his way but this film gives us hope. Communities on the front lines are winning, and the blueprint they are providing the rest of us is well documented in this film. Pay close attention. Don’t give up. Keep fighting. We cannot become a nation where communities that seek to protect themselves and their water are labeled unconstitutional. The small communities are leading those of us who have lost our way, back into our place in the ecosystem. May this film unite all defenders and inspire new ones. The time is now.”

My emotions were all over the place watching – from sadness and anger to excitement, elation and hope. This documentary is a must watch and I will be referring all of my family and friends to watch it”

This was amazing. I’ve been involved with CELDF in the past and have delved into the Rights of Nature as a concept, but the examples depicted here are inspiring and engender tremendous hope.”

“What a fantastic film–excellent at explaining complicated issues and connecting the dots to clarify how activism and legal actions are required in conjunction to stop big business and corporate government. My question is whether you envision the potential for Rights of Nature legislation to be proactively implemented at the local level before these types of challenges emerge? Can we create laws that deter corporations from ever looking at these areas for exploitation?”

Best documentary I have seen in a long time. Invisible Hand tells the story of 3 different communities and the residents of those communities standing up to challenge the current environmental laws and system to protect their health as well as nature’s. The film exposes how the people have been duped into believing that we have the “best environmental ” laws in the world, when in reality those laws are really legalizing pollution by issuing permits that protect the very industries doing the harm. These communities are challenging the status quo by proposing, passing and fighting for Rights of Nature laws that challenge our current system that protects capitalism at the expense of our communities and nature and sacrifices our childrens’ futures. Public Herald continues their reputation of exposing the lies, so the people can see the problems clearly and then act accordingly.

I found Invisible Hand film very powerful as it expressed the need for all of us to protect nature, for only by helping nature survive and flourish can the human race survive.

It was very important that the film explained to viewers why we cannot depend on regulations or governments to protect our communities, it is up to the residents of the communities to stand up to protect themselves and their air, water and soil.

Our group, Sustainable Medina County,  has been trying to educate our community about the importance of protecting nature and protecting our air, water and soil and we fought to prevent the NEXUS pipeline and compressor station from being built in our community, and we are trying to stop the use of radioactive oil and gas waste (brine) from being used as a road deicer and for dust control in our County.

I believe if individuals show this film to other groups in their communities, it will “wake up” humans who regard the world around them as only a resource to be managed for their benefit and they will finally understand that what affects other living things affects all of us also.  As Neil DeGrasse Tyson said: “Because we’re embedded, we’re not living separate from the Earth. We are a part of Earth, and not enough people think of Earth that way.”

I hope this film circulates all around the world.

This is what Democracy looks like! Amazing documentary!!! I cried at many points as I know these organizers personally. To be a part of the CELDF family is an honor. To fight for The Rights of Nature is a privilege. To be a part of this movement is your right too! Your right to stand up and to speak out for your communities. If this documentary doesn’t inspire you to make a change, nothing will.
